Best Breakfast in Houston – The Breakfast Klub | Food

foodie, houston eats, what's for dinner, breakfast, lunch, cafe, restuarant, the breakfast klubI love breakfast! When I was a kid, my Mom would make breakfast for dinner. It wasn’t often but when she did she rolled out the red carpet. From grits to eggs, sausage, bacon, fresh fruit, pancakes with syrup, and the list goes on and on. In my eyes, it was a genius idea!

My first experience at The Breakfast Klub was almost a decade ago. My sister, Porcia, joined me and we split the chicken and waffles, boy was it amazing! I no longer eat chicken anymore, so now I opt out of the wings and chow down on the waffle a la carte.

Oh, and the coffee is heavenly. On any given day, you’re sure to see a crowd lined up and waiting to get into this cozy breakfast spot. Don’t let the long lines block your blessings, I promise it’s worth the wait!

Best Coffee Shop in Houston – Kaffeine Coffee | Foodie

food, coffee, houston eats, good eats, foodie, food blogger, fashion, lifestyle, styling consultantI’m not a big fan of coffee, I’ll drink it on occasion but try to avoid caffeine in general because it makes me bounce off walls. Too much will have me on an emotional rollercoaster, ha! It normally gives me a really good boost for a few hours and then I peak out and it’s an epic decline afterward.

Lately, I find the need for an extra dose of energy so I stop by my go-to spot Kaffeine Coffee for fuel to make it through the day. They offer a variety of items from coffee to teas. My favorite coffee selection is the Cup of Commotion which features a double shot of espresso and their signature homemade flavor. I also love their iced lemonade called Sunny Daze with fresh mint and cucumber. It’s amazing!

I see a lot of students have made this sweet spot their local hub for study sessions and it’s located near Houston’s major universities, UH and TSU. Man, I wish I would’ve known about this gem when I was in college.

Enjoy!

Good Grub at Eatz Grill| Food

A few weeks ago, I stumbled upon Eatz Grill. I was starving and contemplating on what to eat for dinner. I had no time to cook and needed to tackle work online. It’s crazy when hunger hits you can’t seem to make up your mind on what to eat. First, I wanted Mexican, then it switched to Italian, or maybe I had a taste for Chinese food. Who knows?! Luckily, I passed up the perfect option, seafood!

Food for the Soul at All Seasonz Grill | Food

I love soul food! To me, there’s nothing better than a hot plate of collard greens, macaroni & cheese, green beans, yams, cornbread, and fried catfish. Add a lemonade and a slice of pound cake and you’ve got a little taste of heaven on earth! Fresh home cooked meals used to be reserved to my Nana’s kitchen but now I can get my favorite dishes from local food truck pioneer, All Seasonz Grill.

Brunch at Kitchen 713 | Food

Hey y’all! It’s Thursday and I’m gearing up for a weekend of fun with family and friends. We’re planning on hitting brunch and Kitchen 713 is at the top of the list. This restaurant has changed since the last time I dined in. It was previously located east of downtown and was tucked away in an intimate cafe with limited hours. Now, this once hidden gem is on Washington Ave and features a combination of Southern and Asian cuisine. Oh, and it’s become a local hotspot for happy hour and brunch!
